Terms of Service

Last updated: February 2025

1. Acceptance

By using Stoop (stoopevents.nl), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Description of service

Stoop is a platform that connects venues (cafés, bars, local places) with guests for social events. Venues create events, manage reservations and payments, and check in guests. Guests discover events, book spots and attend. We provide the technology; venues are responsible for their events and premises.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use Stoop.

4. Venues and events

Venues are independently operated. Stoop does not own or operate the venues or events listed. Venues are solely responsible for the quality, safety and legality of their events. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate our policies or applicable law.

5. Reservations and payments

Reservations and payments are subject to each event's conditions and the venue's cancellation policy. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy and the applicable event terms. Payment processing is provided by Stripe; their terms apply to payment transactions.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not use Stoop for illegal purposes, to harass others, to impersonate anyone, or to spam. You must not circumvent security or misuse the platform. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual property

Stoop and its branding, design and software are our property. You may not copy, modify or distribute them without permission. You retain rights to content you post; you grant us a license to use it to provide our services.

8. Limitation of liability

Stoop is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for issues arising from venue conduct, events or third-party services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, you may close your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands, unless otherwise required by law.
